What to Do When Cyberbullying Happens: Steps to Get Help
What to Do When Cyberbullying Happens
If you experience cyberbullying, remember that you do not have to deal with it alone.
Do not reply with insults or threats, as this may make the situation worse. Save screenshots or messages as evidence, if it is safe to do so.
Block the person and report the harmful content on the platform where it happened. Tell a trusted adult, such as a parent, teacher or school counsellor, so they can help.
If someone else is being bullied, support them and avoid sharing hurtful posts or messages. Everyone deserves to feel safe and respected online.
