Warning Signs of Cyberbullying: What to Look Out For
Warning Signs of Cyberbullying
Warning signs of cyberbullying are changes in a person's behavior that may show they are being bullied online.
A learner may become upset after reading messages, feel afraid to check their phone, or suddenly stop using social media. They may also withdraw from friends, lose confidence or struggle to concentrate on schoolwork.
Some learners may hide their online activities or become uncomfortable when asked about messages they receive. Others may directly tell someone that they are being bullied.
These signs do not always mean cyberbullying is happening. Parents and teachers should listen, ask gentle questions and offer support when they notice these changes.
